Dear Church,
Let us hold onto the promises of Isaiah 43:18 and 19 as we are stepping into the month of May. Isaiah 43:18 says:
"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past." (NIV)
This verse encourages us to look forward and focus on the present and future, rather than dwelling on past mistakes, failures, disappointment, or any bitter experiences. It's a command from the Lord, "Do not dwell in the past." Your bad past memories could be a stumbling block for the new miracles that you're about to receive.
This scripture reminds us that God is always doing something new.
Isaiah 43:19 is part of a larger passage where God is speaking to the Israelites, reminding them that He's about to do something new and remarkable in their lives. This verse can be seen as a promise of:
1. God brings new life and opportunities.
2. He makes a way in the wilderness, providing direction.
3. Streams in the wasteland symbolize refreshment in your life.
This verse encourages trust and faith in God's plan, even when circumstances seem challenging. It's a reminder that God is actively working, bringing about positive change.
Isaiah 43:19 reminds us to trust God's plan and look for the new things He's bringing into your life. Ask yourself and ponder over these questions
# What areas of your life feel like a wilderness or wasteland?
# Are there situations where you feel stuck?
# How can you trust God to make a way forward?
# What "new thing" might God be trying to bring into your life?
The Holy Spirit will help you to move from where you are to where you're supposed to be.
May your faith increase to see the miracles that you're waiting for.
May you become more sensitive to the Holy Spirit to know what the Lord is about to do.
Have a blessed month!
Blessings,
Pastor.
Amen
